Hockey player stalking has begun!

Real men wear pink. Just ask former Blue, Kelly Chase.

The Blues season opener was Saturday night, meaning, it's time to start stalking hockey players! Yay! A tradition my friends and I started last year, we decided we'd continue it this year. And it started off in grand fashion! We met up at OB Clark's to watch the game (we simultaneously watched the Mizzou game and the Yankees/Twins game...good sports night) and our Blues won 2-1 in OT....against the Flyers, who are like, good and stuff. It was a great win and a great night as Brett Hull was in town to celebrate the unveiling of the new Brett Hull statue (always exciting when you get your own statue!). So, after the game, the bar was abuzz with rumors that Brett Hull was going to be there. Long known as the hockey hangout, OB Clark's is also where KMOX airs their aftergame show. Well, turns out...........the rumors were true. Before we knew it, in walked The Golden Brett and his trashy looking wife (a skin tight sparkly mini-skirt? really?). It was very exciting to see him in person-he looked really old though. Then again, I remember him in his Blue heyday, golden mullet a' flowin.....he's now almost completely gray. Getting old sucks. Along with Brett was the ever present Kelly Chase, who, back in the day, played with Hull. We don't get excited about seeing Chaser anymore because he's at OB Clark's every time we are. Seriously. The radio station interviewed one of the Blues players and I, for the life of me, couldn't figure out who he was, still investigating. Our third player sighting was none other than Bernie Federko. I loves me some Bernie Federko. My friends and I were not like the other dorky people wearing their Hull jerseys and bugging the man for autographs. No, instead we just sat and giggled....and periodically stole a few glances of one of the greatest hockey heroes of all time. I DID snap the above pic of Kelly Chase. That was our worst stalking offense of the night.

More stalking adventures on the way! Stay tuned!
