WHY is Milton Bradley still a Cub?
I went to sleep last night hoping that when I woke up today, Milton Bradley would no longer be a Cub. Alas, I was diappointed yet again. He's still on the roster. Will today be the day? Come on Santa, I've been a good little Cubs fan all year, pleeeeeeeease make someone else take on that hot mess. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease. Clearly I'm not above begging.

Today's the day, KD - I can just FEEL it. Well that...and I read all the articles you did that said if not last night, probably today. Who is this "surprise" AL team? I've heard a few wishful thinkers that it's the Indians and a swap for Woody. Oh Santa....
Hi ladies, I have not seen anything on MB. I'm feeling restless on this whole thing, something needs to happen and it needs to happen now.
I hear ya Blue. I've been stalking web sites all day hoping to hear of the glorious news that MB is no longer a Cub. :(
Just get it done already.
Yeah, I just looked at a few myself and I see nothing on MB. I think that he will either end up back in Texas or with TB.....hopefully.
How's the eye today?
I just read of MB possibly going to Detroit in return for Dontrelle Willis or to KC for Jose Guillen.
I'm tired of this, plus I'm so freaking bored right now and cold and kind of hungry. Plus I just took a vicodin for my back pain.
At this point, I don't care where he goes, as long as he GOES.
Did ya hear our Rich Harden is most likely going to the Rangers? Hmmmm, you know, my sister DOES live in Dallas....I may need to make a trip on over to Arlington to see Rich's Ass. Hmmmm....
My fear is we won't have rid ourselves of MB by the time the winter meetings are concluded and I think that'll make whatever deal we do ultimately get very Cubs-unfriendly.
I am devastated the Rich (and his ass) is officially gone. I really loved that tasty Canuck.
yes Rich (and his ass) were two of the greatest things to come out of Canada since, well......ever.
You can have your maple syrup - just give us more Riches!
So um, this is awkward. MB? STILL a Cub. I'm starting to think Hendry was sending himself flowers with this whole mystery team.
Goodmorning, well my biggest concern now is that somehow we end up being stuck with MB. Now considering how he did last season, that is a bad thing. However if he was to get his crap together and give us a great season like he had with the Rangers and control his funky temper, then I would accept him being on the team.....at least for this season.
word verf....afailin
Hendy is afailin to get rid of MB.
Nice sentence using the word verif Blue! LOL!
I feel as if the Cubs are the laughing stock of the MLB this year (not that they aren't ALWAYS), I mean, let's be real-no one wants that a-hole on their team. The Cubs are gonna have to eat a LOT of money to unload this psycho. and really, what does MB care? He gets his money regardless.....
KD, I feel that sometimes the Cubs seem to take a step back instead of taking a step forward and keeping up with the Jones's so to speak.
Somehow I feel that we will get suckered if/when we trade MB.
lol....word verf....coniac
as in ....We will all need some coniac if we don't get rid of MB.
LMAO Blue! And Amen to that! :)
I don't see how we CAN'T get suckered. I mean, even if MB had been on his best behavior, that contract is still too much $$$. I think if there is any possible way they can patch things up, maybe they should try it. Performance-wise, I imagine he'll have a better year. The problem for me lies with the teammates. Some of those quotes the guys had about MB were pretty bad. And the same with Lou. I just don't know if it's possible to have him in the clubhouse next season.
I have to wonder what MB thinks of the fact that, despite his talent, he can't be unloaded. Does it make him feel bad AT ALL? Or does he just think the entire MLB is racist?
And ditto on the laughingstock, KD, but what else is new?
