How much ibuprofen is too much?
Good thing I work with a bunch of nurses because I wasn't too sure how much Advil I could take in a day's time. I have an icky headache-the kind that makes ya feel nauseated and dizzy. It's real fun. Jealous? Ok, so I saw a bumper sticker this morning that made me laugh. It said "I love my country but I think it's time we started seeing other people". Funny ha ha, right? Uh.....ok.
Big weekend plans? It seems like I am really busy all the time all of a sudden. I have only been home one night this week. I really just wanna sit on my couch and read my People magazine, but I know it's good to be social, getting out of the house, all that good stuff. My friend Melinda is flying into town today from Wisconsin. I am meeting up with her tonight for some dinner (and probably drinks) and I'm sure some good times (she makes me laugh.....a lot....maybe I'll get her to tell the story about how she was at an Angels game talking about how nice Jim Edmonds butt is when an old lady behind her tapped her on the shoulder and said "I used to wipe that butt, I'm his grandma".....that story is priceless! Tomorrow is busy, busy too. Kids birthday parties, Mike's much anticipated housewarming party, I mean, geez people. KD can only be in one place at a time. I am missing Boogie's birthday party (makes me sad because those are my PEEPS!!!). We need to plan a sitting-outside-people-watching-night at Blueberry Hill!
Have a good weekend everyone. Tomorrow is Armed Forces Day according to my calendar, so to my cousins Mike (Navy), Clint (Marines) and Ben (Air Force)-happy Armed Forces Day!

Quite the controversy
Man, this whole Melinda-getting-booted-from-American Idol-thing has become quite the controversy around the office. My co-worker Michelle is crying just talking about it, even Dr. Smith weighed in with his opinion (he agrees with me, it's the teenyboppers that voted Blake in to the finals, unfortunately, not his talent alone). Melinda was just too old, it's the way it is. It's an ageist society-DEAL WITH IT. She'll have a good broadway career, or battle it out with Natalie Cole and Anita Baker on the adult contemporary charts. Don't feel sorry for her. She'll end up making more money than you and I ever dreamed of making.
I am tired today but in a good mood (weird mix, I know). I have Book Club tonight (yay!), we are celebrating our 4th anniversary as a book club. Isn't that fun? I believe in the four years we've been getting together, we've read exactly................um, five books. Pretty awesome book club, huh? Tonights' food theme is Mexican...good thing, cuz I've been really hungry lately. Must be all that running!
We are gearing up for what is sure to be the social event of the year-Mike's housewarming party on Saturday night. It will be the event to end all events. Only the coolest of the cool will be there.......PLUS, I get to see my Will who I have not seen in quite some time. Yay! :)

I so totally called it
I totally called the upset. Melinda got voted off on American Idol tonight. I, of course, was at work so I didn't get to watch it. But I was sitting there and a co-worker says "Kerri, you were right". Hard to believe....but there is ALWAYS an upset. Shrek will have a long career, no need to worry about her. So, the final two are as I called it many, many weeks ago-Jordin and Blake. As it should be. Instead of dialidol.com, just consult with me. In fact, maybe I'll start my own website dedicated to predicting who gets voted off....hmmmm...perhaps I'll do that with all the free time I have........HA!
GO BLAKE!!!
Dumb drivers
I cannot believe that St. Louis was only ranked 22nd for the worst drivers in the U.S. Uh-have you been to St. Louis? People are retarded here. Exhibit A: I'm on my way to work this morning when traffic comes to a dead stop on Hwy 170. This road isn't usually backed up in the mornings, so I automatically assumed there was an accident (hence the stupid driver). What was it? A semi had jack-knifed, the truck part was over the median (a good 3 feet high), and the trailer part was taking up two lanes on the other side of the highway. Yea....are you sure we're only the 22nd worst?????

Brrrr???
As I sit here and type, my teeth are chattering. Why on Earth would that be happening in May, you may ask? Well, it's pretty simple. I went out for my nightly jog, there I was, jammin' to some Keith Urban (really, it is some good joggin music!), when it started to rain......and I was a mile away from my apartment. No biggie, I figure, a little rain won't kill me, so I continued my jog (albeit turning around and heading for home), when I got back to my apartment, I was soaked from head to toe. I got my wet clothes off, but I am still freezing and it's been like two hours. Guess a nice, hot shower is in order.
So, in between American Idol commercial breaks, I was watching the country music awards. Wow-that Brad Paisley sure does have a cute cowboy butt.....sorry, but he does. You gotta love a man that sings a song called "Ticks". Yes, the creepy little woodland creature kind. Love Toby Keith's performance and totally loved John Legend singing with Big and Rich (you know, the Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy guys...).
Oh, by the way, my man Aramis Ramirez hit a grand slam tonight...last I heard the Cubbie's were up 10-1! Holla! :)

American Idol-the semi-finals
Oh. American Idol was some good stuff tonight! Yahoo! Here's my take on it:
Jordin-#1: it was great, nothing more to say. she's gonna win. #2. it was good-not a fan of the song, but whatever, she kicked ass; #3. she was absolutely fabulous, even if it was an old song.
Blake-well, lookie there, he changed his hair back to blond. Guess all of Tinnin's calls to the American Idol hotline protesting the hair change paid off, huh? Man, I haven't heard a version of "Roxanne" that good since Canada's karaoke performance of '97. That was hot and loved the little slidin on his knees action at the end....#2. Loved his take on Maroon 5...isn't that kinda a dirty song to be singing on prime time when the kiddos are watching, or is it just me? #3. never heard the song before, but i liked it! Blake had a GREAT night!
Melinda- #1: yea, she was good, real good. #2 I've never heard that song before, but she was awesome. #3-yep, awesome again. Not much else to say.
They were all so good tonight, hard to choose who is gonna get voted off. I'm afraid it will probably be Blake, but don't feel bad for him-he'll get a record deal no problem. And I will be first in line to buy it!

too tired to blog? Say it ain't so!
Yes, yesterday I was too tired to blog. I'm sorry to my Public-but I just didn't have it in me. And I even had a good weekend, did you? Friday, I went to Archivers at The Mills with some of the Book Club girls for a scrapbooking night-dorky, I know, but it was kinda cool. From 5-11, we got a lot of scrapbooking done, they served us dinner, we talked and laughed and just had a good ol' time. The best part? I finally got my sister's wedding scrapbook completed (never mind that her wedding was over a year ago...). Grandpa really liked it and is now requesting I make him a scrapbook for his 80th birthday this year. Hey, whatever Grandpa wants, Grandpa gets! Saturday I was up bright and early running errands and was at Grandpa's by noon to see him and my mommy who was in town for Ashlee's wedding shower. Ashlee's shower was really nice-we were at the Fleur Des Lis Tea Room in Florissant-very cute place. Got to see all my aunts and cousins-Ashlee got some great stuff. I laugh thinking about how they are gonna haul all that stuff back to South Dakota in their Nissan....ha! Saturday night I got to see some of my college friends. We all live in St. Louis, but haven't seen each other in quite some time-life gets in the way, I guess. It was Mike L's 30th birthday, his wife Lori rented out Demolition Ball for two hours of bumper car fun! I hung out with Christi on the sidelines (having twisted my ankle twice in one week, I wasn't sure banging around in a bumper car was such a good idea....). It was soooo good to see them all again. I got to see Mike and Lori's creepy little dogs, Marco and Brody, again too (they are those little mini-greyhounds. Sweet, but creepy). Sunday was Mother's Day and I got my butt up and went to church. Everyone was there-the Baumgartners, Red and Jon, Grandpa and my mommy. After church, Aunt Cheryl met us at the cemetary so we could visit grandma and wish her a happy Mother's Day. We know she watches over us and, in fact, there was a moment when we all got a bit emotional and all of a sudden, one of the rose petals fell off the bouquet-I know she threw it down as if to tell us to knock it off! :) She was sassy like that! Sunday night I went for a 2-mile jog (getting ready for 5K season!) and just chilled. Now it's Tuesday, American Idol night, which you know I love! I'm really sleepy today, have been for the last few days. Must be the PMS......was that TMI?

Get well soon Hank!
Yes, Hank gets his own blog post! Our baby boy had shoulder surgery yesterday to repair some damage he suffered after having been shot (yes, that happens out in the country). I was hoping to get to see my daddy this weekend as my parents are coming to the STL for a wedding shower, however, someone had to stay and watch Hank. Mom said he was still pretty out of it this morning, hasn't quite come out of the anesthesia yet (well, she said more out of it than normal-Hank isn't the brightest bulb). So, dad is on dog-sitting duty. I'm sure Stubby is helping out (yea right-she's probably in the house, in dad's chair, sitting like the pretty, pretty princess that she is). I hope you feel better soon Hankie! He's tough, I mean, he did survive a double shooting and all. That is why we also like to call him 50 Cent. :)Friday, May 11, 2007
As if we needed further proof that I need group home placement....
Man, I am having a ROUGH week! The latest episode today? I was walking into work, when I suddenly tripped, fell, twisted my ankle and cut up my other ankle....the worst part? I SPILLED MY DIET COKE. I am taking a rain check on this day. I'm done. Of course, I have to tell the story because I am ok with making fun of myself. Thanks to one of my UR guys, who today told me he fully supported me living in a "supported community living environment" (a nice way of saying "group home for people that can't take care of themselves"). I need a case manager, and Mike Tinnin is the man for the job. Thanks Mike! Pretty soon, I'll be on SSD for my low level of functioning. There is a group home right down the street from my apartment, guess I'll just go ahead and move myself in.....
Just wanted to send some prayers to my Davidson/Lawson side of the family. My dad's aunt Ethel died this week. I'm not sure if I've ever met her, but she was one of my grandma's sisters, I'm sure they are together in Heaven now.

good TV tonite and other sad life experiences
OMG, The Office was sooooo f'ing funny tonight! That part where Andy fell in the lake with that sumo wrestler outfit on made me laugh out loud. And Dwight walking on the hot coals? I think that episode was as good as the Christmas one. Scrubs was funny too. Good TV night. It's a rare night when I get to just sit at home and watchTV and I enjoyed it. I got a post card in the mail today from my friend Canada....from Costa Rica....sent after he got back home to Canada.....but that's ok! As I told you on your MySpace page, it made me smile and I put it on my fridge with my Wrigley Field magnet (a place of distinction, for sure!).
Is it wrong that it's 9:12pm and I am ready for bed? I think not. I push myself all the time and stay up later than I should even on the nights I don't work. Tonight...I'm going to bed. Good Night y'all!

Soooooo bored.....
I am so bored today. I was over the day before it even began. Ugh, I'm still at work with not much to do (because I rock and get all my work done early, dontcha know?). Gotta love drunken phone calls from your brother's friends at 12:30 at night on a Wednesday...Tim, have I mentioned that I'm going to kill you? Consider yourself warned......My Cubs didn't do so hot today, they're back to .500. They're taking on the Phillies this weekend, we'll see how that goes. It's about time they played a team other than one in the NL Central! Can't wait to see my mommy and the rest of my family this weekend-mom is going to be in town for Ashlee's bridal shower-can't wait. Plus, it's Mother's Day on Sunday. And don't forget Demolition Ball friday night for Mike L's 30th birthday party. I'm being told that I will not get injured doing it, but I'm not convinced (given I almost electrocuted myself and dropped a frozen food item on my toe this week). Can someone give me some referrals for some good group homes in the area?

A little slice of KD heaven...
It really is the little things in life, such as finally having real TV and being able to watch Baseball Tonight EVERY NIGHT! I remember back when I lived with Red and Jon, that was my nightly ritual-Baseball Tonight then All My Children (what else are you gonna watch late at night?). I especially love watching Baseball Tonight when they say nice things about my Cubbies! How bout that Jason Marquis, huh? 5-1 baby, 5-1! A 3-hitter tonight-not too shabby!
Sad news to report, one of my fish died. RIP D Lee. He received a very nice burial at sea. Aramis and Lou are doing quite well, however. They have a new friend-a ceramic baseball playing frog named Dave. He rocks.
Ok, so bye-bye to KiKi on American Idol. Totally called it. I'm afraid my precious Blake may go next week, there is ALWAYS an upset, however, so it could be Melinda. Can't wait to watch and find out!
Well, I'm off to bed. It's 10:30pm and I'm an old, old woman. I need my sleep. Nighty night folks!

and in the "this could only happen to Kerri" category-Part 2
I just dropped a frozen Hot Pocket on my toe. It hurts like a son-of-a-bitch......seriously, I should not be allowed to leave the house.
and in the "this could only happen to Kerri" category...
Ok, so this morning I got up a bit early and thought I'd make the effort to actually straighten my hair-a rarity on work days because it entails getting up earlier than I want to. No biggie, I figure, so I get to work straightening my mass of waves. I get about half of my head done when it happened-yes, the straightener fell in the sink-where there was some standing water. It started hissing, my first thought was "what do I do?". Then I got the brilliant idea to unplug it (genius). Why was there standing water, you may ask? Well, because my apartment is like 60 years old and the plumbing isn't the greatest. Been meaning to get some more Drano...anyway...so, needless to say, I couldn't finish straightening my hair, so I had to throw it up on top of my head and head out the door. VERY hot. Here's hoping my straightener still works cuz I really like it......seriously people, I shouldn't be allowed out of the house..........

American Idol-the Top Four...
Ugh. Overall? I was kinda bored with tonight's show. Maybe it's because I have 200 channels now, but I found myself wanting to channel surf instead of watch the show. That being said, I did watch the show and here's what I thought:
Melinda #1-Ehhh....it was ok. I was pretty much over it though. Sorry. #2 was much better but I still wasn't overwhelmed with it and she had that damn surprised look on her face again...
Blake #1-ok, love the new dark hair. He is too cute. I thought the song was ok. #2-ok the judges were way harsh. Was it the best thing I've ever heard? No. Was it horrible? No. Maybe I'm partial at this point because I think Blake is cute......
LaKesha #1-Ick. Didn't like it so much. Love her hair long though. Too bad this competition isn't about hair. #2 was ok, she wasn't shouting this time. Pack your bags girl.
Jordin-#1-I'm telling you, she's gonna win. #2. Not as good as her first song. I think the first one was the best performance of the night.
I stand by my position that Jordin will win this thing. Bottom two will be Blake and Lakesha. I think it's KiKi's turn to go home. Guess we'll find out tomorrow night!

Dish Network and the DMV
Odd combo, I know. But this is how I spent my day. I took the day off from work so I could be home when the Dish Network guy showed up. Yep-he called me at 7:45am (so much for sleeping in...) and advised he was on his way. As he surveyed my building, he determined that he was going to have to put the satellite on the roof-luckily, my landlord just happened to be there and he gave his blessing. The guy was at my apartment for about two hours (does it really take that long?). Now? I have REAL TV! Isn't that exciting? And as I skimmed through my 200+ channels, I realized-there's nothing on. Sad, but true.
After all that fun, I decided to venture out to everyone's favorite place-the Department of Motor Vehicles. Great. I figured, it's 11am, beginning of the month, there won't be any lines at all, right? Wrong. I waited in line about 40 minutes, got up to the desk and informed Mr. DMV that I never received a Personal Property tax waiver. He looked at me like I was a moron and said "did you go pick it up at City Hall?". Now, how in the hell was I supposed to know that you had to do that? I didn't even know where the freakin' City Hall was. But I do now (Market and Tucker, in case you care). The Personal Property tax guy was really nice, got me my waiver and sent me on my merry way, announcing on my way out "the DMV is closed today you know for Truman's birthday". My response? "Uh...not the one on Kingshighway", to which the others in the crowd were like "really?", "you sure?", "that's where I'm going". Apparently, I saved the day. I mean, who knew that the DMV shuts down operation for Truman's birthday? So, back to the DMV I went, where I waited another 40 minutes and ended up getting the same Mr. DMV as last time, and he remembered me. This time, I was in and out in about two minutes, my only question was-why didn't I qualify for the two year plates? Now, I'll have to go back to the frickin' DMV next year.....
Well, after all that fun, I cancelled my plans to get an oil change and wash my car (definite car theme today). I did manage to vacuum my car, but that was about it. I went back home, did some more channel surfing (still nothing on) and decided to go for my jog around the park. I pushed myself this time and went further than I had been going. My back hurts now-probably because I am an old, old woman. The good news? That size 4 dress I bought for Ben and Ashlee's wedding? Fits perfectly. YES! Guess all that running is actually doing some good!
Tonight is American Idol night-YAY! Commentary coming soon...

Steers and Queers
Yes, it was a steers and queers weekend at the gay rodeo. Mike and I had some good times. I mean, where else can you watch a bunch of gay cowboys put panties on a goat? The answer? The gay rodeo, of course! There were some horses, and cows and drag queens-everything you'd expect at the gay rodeo. The drag queens were a little scary. Mike and I drank some Miller Lite, laughed a lot (especially when some dude walked by and called me "the wife"). It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Saturday night my girl Karen and I went to a benefit for our friend Denise's sister and niece (Denise's brother-in-law passed away suddenly a couple months ago). It was a great turnout and great to see Denise and Aimee again. Yesterday, I didn't do a whole lot-did some jogging then went to work at the crisis line for five hours. Fun stuff indeed.
I so don't want to jinx it, but my Cubbies are on a roll (I probably just jinxed it). Actually above .500! Yay! How sad is it when a record of 15-14 is good enough for 2nd place? Pretty sad indeed. Oh well, we'll take it!
I got to speak to my favorite Canadian, Canada Canada the 3rd, last night! Yay! We talked what, like two hours again, Canada? Well, in between the times when his phone died. Damn international calls......I always love talking to Canada!
Ok, work is crazy today, must go save some mental health lives. Happy Monday y'all!

Marquis wins fourth straight in finale
need sleep
Ok, no more working my part-time job four nights in a row. That, mixed with lack of sleep, mixed with an icky, rainy week, mixed with a commute that was over an hour this morning thanks to some morons getting into an accident is a recipe for cranky today. Ugh. And my first call of the day at work was some snarky woman getting all kinds of attitude with me. Lady-today AIN'T the day. Seriously.
In good news, Chris finally got voted off American Idol. Really, he should have gone like a month ago, seriously. I must admit, I was a little sad to see Phil go. As well all know, I have a soft spot for Phil (for reasons unknown), but it was his time. As predicted, Blake is the last man standing. I feel a top 2 of Blake and Jordin coming on. I am SO not working next Tuesday and missing another week of Idol. Maybe that's why I'm cranky-because I didn't get to watch it this week.
I am SO looking forward to going home at a decent time tonight, getting in a good jog, then relaxing in my apartment. Sounds like heaven if you ask me. Maybe a bubble bath, read a good book and then to bed BEFORE midnight. It's good to have goals.

I'm a' headin' to Wrigley!!!
Ok, so it's not until Labor Day weekend, but a girl can still be excited! I love my Cubs and I love Wrigley Field and I love Chicago (that's a lot of things to love!). Plus, I'll get to see my friend Eric who I haven't seen in over a year. Yay! Can't wait, it's been a couple of years since I've been to Chicago. My co-worker Michelle (Harry Caray's daughter) has indicated she may be able to score me some VIP treatment at Harry's restaurant (YES). Love it! My Cubbies won a double header today, by the way. They are now 12-14, not so much impressive overall, but they have won 5 out of their last 6 games. I'm hoping their "June Swoon" was in April and that the rest of the months will be smooth sailing!
Countdown: Gay rodeo in 3 days!!!!!! Here's a glimpse into what you'll be missing:
Goat Dressing
This two-person event was created specially for gay rodeo. The team stands 50 feet from the point where the goat is tethered. One of the team members has a pair of jockey-style underwear worn over their forearms. When the whistle sounds, the team runs to the goat. The team member without the underwear picks up the goat's rear hooves, grabs the underwear from around the other member's arms, and pulls it up the legs of the goat. Both team members must then race back to the start/finish line and cross the finish line to stop the time. The underwear must stay over the goat's tail bone until the timer is tagged by both members.

good-vs-evil
You know, I work with the mentally ill. People who can't help themselves, some who can, and some that are somewhere in between. Few of them would I ever call horrible people, however. No, I'll save that for people I actually know. Not that I know a lot of horrible people, mind you, but I do know some. The kind of people that will lie to your face and not think twice about it, the kind of people that will manipulate, cheat and deceive you in order to get what they want. The kind of people that think they have you fooled only, in reality, they are the ones that are the fool. The kind of people who lie so much, their lies have lies and it is this endless mess that they can't get out of. The kind of people who's BS is going to come back to them-tenfold. I firmly believe you reap what you sow. I don't say this out of revenge, rather, I think it's simply the way things are. Good people will win out in the end. Bad people will end up losing everything they think they have and will die miserable and alone. And they will have themselves to blame. I know this is kinda dark and I apologize for venting such things on my blog, but I had to get it off my chest. Oh, by the way, these horrible people I speak of? They're called SOCIOPATHS.
Some of you may know what I'm talking about, if you do, I'd appreciate NOT commenting on it here as I don't want specifics documented on this blog (it IS public, after all). Thanks in advance for that.
Now, back to Sunny Happy Kerri. Let's see, so far this morning, I've upset two hospitals AND had a psychiatrist scream at me on the phone via voicemail....yep, it's gonna be a good day! :) As my boss tells me, if I haven't upset at least one person at work then I am not doing my job. I'd say I'm doing it pretty well today.......HAPPY TUESDAY!

Water......with calories?
Isn't that an oxymoron (emphasis on the "moron")? I mean, seriously.......I am IN LOVE with Vitamin Water....however, it has 125 calories in it. WHAT? That's crazy talk, I know, but it does. I guess all those vitamins have calories.....so, I've discovered another flavored water beverage, Propel Fitness Water (what the????) and it only has 30 calories.....I have found my new vitamin enhanged water beverage (really, thats what it says on the bottle....). What ever happened to water from the tap????
So, I had a good weekend, did you? I worked yesterday which was not real exciting, but it wasn't so bad either. I am working my part-time job four days in a row this week, not sure if that is the smartest idea, but then again, I'm not always the smartest girl on earth, as we all know.
You will be so proud-I went jogging SIX TIMES last week! Yay me! I have gotten to the point that I look forward to going (sooooo not typically me). I plug in my iPod and I am ready to roll. Some good running songs? "Stayin Alive", "My Humps", "You Shook Me All Night Long" and "Man I Feel Like a Woman".
Gay Rodeo this weekend-who's in????? :)

I just read
Wow, how sad. I just read about that Cardinals pitcher that was killed last night in a car accident. That's awful. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and to the Cardinals. Geez, don't even know what to say. Puts things in perspective, doesn't it?
Fun in Wentzville
Here's Aunt Diane and Aunt Paula "whoopin" it up last night at Crossroads Country (or whatever it's called now). Powder Keg was great! Such a fun night with all my family there! Here's me and Erin. Aren't we CUTE? I wore my cowgirl shirt especially for the night-HA!
YES! I got someone to pose with the fake guy at the door. Dude, I kept looking at him all night thinking he was real (he wasn't). Way to be a trooper, Aunt LaLa!Me and Erin posing. I swear I wasn't drunk!
Aunt LaLa-I told you I'd have the pics posted today!!!! We had a lot of fun last night. Aunt Paula and Uncle Jay, Aunt Mary and Uncle Ron and Aunt Diane were all there. I'm sure Erin loved hanging out with half the Baumgartner clan!!!! I LOVE POWDER KEG!!!! I may have to come out next weekend and see them again down on the river.
Saturday afternoon was fun as well. Christina and Maggie and I spent the afternoon at Christina's scrapbooking-I got like 10 pages done! Finally scrapbooked our vacation at Hilton Head! I know, I'm a little behind.....next project? Finally starting that wedding scrapbook I planned on making for Red and Jon (maybe by your 5th anniversary it will be done!). Christina was gracious enough to let me watch the baseball game while we worked. Yes, I got a bit excited during the Cubs 7 run 5th inning.....what a great game! If the Cubbies win today, it will be their first sweep of the Cardinals at Busch Stadium since 1988! Good lord......

"What time do you want to pick it up?"-says the woman at the one hour photo
Uh, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say..........IN AN HOUR???????? Wasn't that a stupid question? Or is it just me? Anyway.....
Ok, stop f'ing with my Diet Coke. It's perfect the way it is! I went in to Walgreens to get myself some Diet Coke after having dropped off the above mentioned film, when I noticed that they now have "Diet Coke Plus". What the hell is this, I asked, so I decided to try it. It's Diet Coke with "added vitamins and minerals". WTF???? Well, let me tell you, it DOES NOT taste like Diet Coke, there is nothing like the original. Leave it alone!
Ok, so how lame is this? Today, I finally got the pictures from my sisters wedding developed. Yes, it was over a year ago. I had like 8 disposable cameras to get developed and finally did it. There are pics from our vacation last summer even! The wedding pics made me cry (go figure, I think I've cried at least once every day this week) and the vacation pics made me laugh (I'll get them loaded on the computer and post them soon!). I am going to my friend Christina's house today to do some scrapbooking-now I have some material!
Powder Keg tonight! Yee haw! I can't wait-I have a really cute little cowgirl shirt to wear. DEAL OF THE WEEK-this is when it pays off to have midget feet........I went to buy a new pair of jogging shoes yesterday, the prices weren't bad ($50-60), but then I got the brilliant idea to look in the kids section. There, I found a really cute pair of Nike's that looked just like the adult version (silver w/a pink Nike stripe). The difference? THEY WERE ONLY $25!!!!!! What a steal! I love my midget feet!

why did the duck cross the road?
Ok, so I was driving to work this morning, minding my own business, when I saw some little ducks crossing the road. Two of them were taking their sweet ass time, so I had to stop the car and let them waddle on across. There were two other, polite, ducks on the other side and I swear to God, one of them looked BOTH ways before crossing....clearly he is the only duck with manners......Why have I been so irritable this week? I can't blame it on PMS or really even on stress. Guess I'm just a biatch. I've accepted it....moving on.
So, the Cards and Cubs are playing each other yet again this weekend. The Cubs suck (just putting that out there), but really sitting in the basement of the NL Central is their comfort zone...why mess with a good thing? I'll expect my brothers friends to be talking some smack on my MySpace page this weekend...BRING IT ON BOYS!!! Don't they know, that Cubs smack talking doesn't bother me since I know it's all true? Kids these days......
The weekend is upon us again (TGIF). I am going to see PowderKeg tomorrow night. Looking forward to that, it's been awhile since I've seen them. Not sure what the plans are for tonight. Mike and I may go out, then again, we may not. Mike-promise me that if we do go out that you will sing "My Prerogative" to me all night long. K?
By the way, the answer to the title is "to get to the other side". Duh.

Shoulder surgery ends Prior's season
Are we surprised? And if this was the issue, why didn't he freakin' have surgery TWO YEARS AGO? Yea, they're real geniuses over there....no, I'm not at all angry and bitter. My team is the worst team in baseball, but I'm not angry and bitter. Ol' Porcelain Arm Prior strikes again. Maybe he should just hang up the cleats and retire. Get a job as a "consultant" at AG Edwards or something. Just a suggestion.

American Idol is gettin' good folks!
Number of times I cried tonight? Three.
I thought tonight's show was really good. Yes, the poor kids in Africa made me cry. Some of the contestants made me cry. I think everyone did a great job tonight. Let's break it down:
1. Chris-For the first time in the entire show, I liked him. I'm not usually a fan, but I think he sounded really good tonight. Kinda Justin Timberlake-esque (or as I heard a radio DJ say "Justin Timberfake").
2. Melinda-I cried. Seriously-I did. Granted, I was already emotional watching those poor kids in Africa, but still-she was amazing. I felt like I was in the middle of a gospel choir.
3. Blake-I thought he was great. You can't over sing that song and I think he sang it perfectly. I think Randy is a tool for not digging that. My grandpa thinks that song is about the devil....really, he does, ask him....I LOVE BLAKE!!!!!!!
4. LaKesha-Uhhhh....Kiki's going home tomorrow. FYI.
5. Phil-Oh, I love Phil, I really do. I though he was awesome tonight. Yes, he looks like he just went through chemo, but I really like his voice. I'm voting for him.
6. Jordin-Yep, she's gonna win. That's all I have to say about that.
At this stage, it's hard to pick the bottom 3. I think everyone did a good job tonight. Still, someone has to go. I think it will be LaKesha, Phil and probably Blake in the bottom 3. My guess is that LaKesha is going. But we shall see! I'd really hate to see Phil or Blake go, but they will have to at some point.....

Craziness
Much love and prayers to my precious Mikey Poo's dad who was hospitalized today. I will send him nothing but positive thoughts Mike!
Today was another crazy day but not as horrible as yesterday. The crisis line called me to see if I'd come in tonight, but I just can't do it. I feel myself edging closer to the burnout end of things and I don't want that to happen, so, look at me being a big girl and saying no! Where did that assertiveness come from? Beside, it is American Idol night, and really, we all know that is my real priority.
Newsflash: My Cubs suck. Pass it on!

Day from hell
I am having a crappy, icky day. Mostly because of rude, inconsiderate, socially retarded people. Luckily, just about everyone I've talked to today is also having a Day From Hell, so I don't feel so bad. Must be because it's Monday. I can only hope it isn't too insane at the crisis line tonight or I may become a client......I really could snap at any time. Consider yourselves warned.

It's a boy....and another boy.....and another boy!
I have welcomed three little fishies into my home. I don't know if they are boys or girls or not, but for arguments sake, I am calling them boys and their names are Aramis, D Lee and Lou (after my two favorite Cubbies and their fearless leader, Lou Piniella). Yes, my Cubs lost 2 of 3 to the stupid Cardinals this weekend, but that's ok! Did you watch the game today? Ended up 12-9 Cardinals in 10 innings, but what a game! Michael Barrett wants to play the Cards every day! (he was awesome). They play each other again in St. Louis this week, so we shall see what happens! I still love my team, no matter what!
I had a really nice weekend. Yesterday was Jessica's baby shower. It was great having lunch and spending time with the women in my family. I sooooo can't wait to meet this new little person! It won't be long now! Last night was the employee appreciation dinner at Bevo Mill for the crisis line. Tanya met me at my apartment and off we went for some free food, free drinks and door prizes. And let me tell you about the door prizes...........I won $100 CASH MONEY! Yes! I was loving it, so when Hallie suggested we go with her, Lori and Alex to R Bar, I didn't even mind the $10 cover charge! I ran into my brother-in-law Jon's sister, Alyssa, there-that was too funny. She was like "hey-I know you!". Steve Ewing, the former lead singer of The Urge was there too, that was cool. I soooooo loved that guy in college-went to many an Urge show in my day! Tanya and I didn't stay out too long (I guess we are just too old and uncool to "hang").
Today I met my friends Renee and Sue for brunch (along with Sue's 4 year old, Kyra) at Des Peres Park and ran into my friend Val and her husband and two kids-that was cool! We all had lunch together. After that, I came home to watch my Cubbie's get spanked by the Cards (I am SO lovin' the Cards games being on Channel 5 though!), did some grocery shopping, and here I am, just chillin' on a Sunday night. It was overall a really great weekend!
Back to business as usual tomorrow. That's ok, because I already have fun plans for next weekend-something to look forward to!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN!
Happy, happy birthday to my good friend Karen! I miss you girl-can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks! I hope you have a great birthday, and remember, it's pronounced Mi-li-wau-ke! The Algonquin Indians and Alice Cooper said so!!!!!
It already ain't lookin' good-Jason Marquis is pitching for the Cubs today. How bout we just give the Cards the win now and call it a day and go drink some Old Style? Who's with me?

Happy 4/20.......POT HEADS!!!
Well, ok, so my Cubbies lost to the Cardinals today. I couldn't even concentrate on my work because I was following the game on espn.com; if that's the case, it's gonna be a long summer!
I became a big girl today and finally arranged to get dish network. Gone are the days of me only having 4 tv channels....now I will have 200! I'm real sure it's gonna be worth it since I'm never home, but in the rare instance that I am, I'll be able to catch my Cubbies on Commcast Chicago! Yay!
I had a good Friday night tonight. No, it's not what you're thinking, I didn't go out and party or meet a man or anything like that. No, I spent the evening at home.....cleaning. Well, first I ventured out to Target to purchase myself a vaccuum cleaner. I know-way cool, huh? I'd been using a dust buster (pathetic, I know), and realized I needed to be a big girl (for the second time today!), so I now have my very own Dirt Devil. I am so cool. My carpet looks so good now though! I fell in love with my apartment all over again (cheezy, but true!). I cleaned everything and it now looks great! Now it's chill time, read some magazines and then go to bed.
My parents are going to be in town tomorrow. We are having a baby shower for Jessica (I guess dad is gonna go up to Florissant and hang out with Grandpa while us gals "party it up"). Allison and Tanya will be over tomorrow evening before our employee appreciation dinner from the crisis line. We're gonna do some dinner, door prizes, then we are hitting the town! Watch out world! :)
Oh, I want to thank everyone who has donated money for the NAMI 5K walk I am doing in May (the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill). I am now leading team BHR with $55 donated so far! Yay! It is VERY much appreciated!
Ok, I hear People magazine calling my name. Happy 4/20 to all you pot smokers out there!

Cards and Cubs at Wrigley this weekend baby!
American Idol justice
Ah, the Sanjaya reign is over. Guess I don't have to go on that hunger strike now, although I was kinda looking forward to it....oh well. So, Shay Shay is gone. You gotta like the kid-not so much for his singing ability, but he is likeable in an oh-he-has-no-idea-that-he's-gay sort of way. He can now get back to the American dream-styling hair by day, cabaret singing by night....after he finishes high school, of course. And what the hell, America? Why was BLAKE in the bottom three? That is some BS right there. Not right.
So, tonight is book club-always love that. I miss the girls. We get to see Cheryl's brand new condo tonight-very exciting!
This weekend is gonna be very, very busy-but that's ok. My mommy will be in town on Saturday-we are having a baby shower for Jessica. I am also attending an employee appreciation dinner at Bevo Mill thrown by my part-time job. A bunch of us are going out afterwards, so that should be fun. I'm having Tanya and Allison over beforehand for a little happy hour, guess I should straighten up the apartment huh? Actually, you'd be impressed, it's pretty clean right now. Shocking, I know, but it's true.
Ok, I have a lot of work to do, no more jackin' around. Happy Thursday to all!

Hunger strike

My co-worker Michelle and I are going on a hunger strike if Sanjaya isn't voted off of American Idol tonight. It's cool, I wanted to lose a couple of pounds anyway. Guess I better live it up today....
MY MIKEY IS BACK! Yay! Life at work can return to normal now. You know, Mike says funny things and I laugh-all day long.
And my apologies to Amy for calling her out on her man-crush. It wasn't my fault. It's still funny though. Did you see him today? Looking extra precious in his glasses.....Amy is gonna find me a work crush now............hmmmmm.......who will the lucky guy be????
And seriously, Sanjaya needs to come out. Further proof of his probable homosexual tendencies? I read in a very trustworthy publication (InTouch Weekly...) that Sanjaya likes to style his friends hair......uh, yea......

It's country music week on American Idol, y'all!
I am soooo in love with country music week! Yay! So how'd they do? See below:
1. Phil-he was actually pretty good tonight. Still probably going home, but he was good. I mean, he ain't no Keith Urban, but then again, who is? I have a soft spot for Phil though, I can't explain it...
2. Jordin-Mark my works-SHE IS GOING TO WIN. I'm telling you. I think she was amazing tonight. Martina McBride is an amazing singer, and Jordin definitely did her justice.
3. Sanjaya-was that a do-rag on his head or was I having visual hallucinations again? I have five words for Sanjaya-COME OUT OF THE CLOSET. That being said, I don't think he was as horrible as the judges said he was, but it was rather karaoke-esque, still better than I could do, but not good enough to win. Will Sanjaya finally be in the bottom three? Stay tuned!
4. LaKesha-I have two words for her: CHOPPING BLOCK. I didn't like it at all. I think she is gonna be the Daughtry of this season-really good, but she's gonna go-and soon.
5. Chris-Well, kudos for doing Rascal Flatts. Unfortunately, you sucked. Ick. It made my head hurt. I think I cringed a couple times as well. I think we now have our third contestant for this week's bottom three....
6. Melinda-LOVED it! I was a' toe tappin', and really had the urge to shout "you go girl", for some reason. I didn't-I just wanted to.
7. Blake-Marry me, Blake! Marry me! I love him. I think he did a great job with that Tim McGraw song-not too many people can hit those high notes. Blake will be the last man standing.
This week's bottom three? I'm gonna go with Phil, LaKesha and Sanjaya. Although the Shay Shay fans may put Chris there instead. It's too close to call. I really think Phil will probably go home. But the one that most deserves to go home is Shay Shay. I wonder if Haley started her new job on the Carnival cruise ship yet.....
Stay tuned!

What kind of world are we living in
when Jason Marquis is the Cubs best pitcher? Can anyone answer that for me? Are we in some sort of alternate universe and nobody told me? I mean, seriously....
I am so glad that my precious flower Mikey Poo will be back to work tomorrow. Everyone has commented about how quiet it's been down at our end of the building...hmmmm...
OMG, Amy has a work crush.......ON A BOY! LMAO! She is hilarious. And a freak. But we all knew that.
It's Idol night, you know what that means. My commentary will be coming along soon! Shut up-you know you wait all week long for KD's Idol commentaries, don't lie....

Ain't no sunshine when he's gone....
I miss my Mikey Poo. Work just isn't the same without him. It is eerily quiet. People are well behaved. It ain't right.
So, Text Boy called me on Friday. What is his deal? We go out, have fun, I don't hear from him for over a week, then he calls me twice last week. I am beginning to think he is socially retarded which is something I SO don't have time for. Sorry Text Boy-I'm over it. Moving on...

...and in the "oh wow" department...
You know those times when you hear a song on the radio and it takes you back to a certain time or place? Brings back some memories? Well-let me know if this one brings up anything for ya-yep, tonight I heard "I Wanna Sex You Up" on the way home from work. You know that classic love song from Color Me Badd. As I listened to it, I realized how truly awful it is and after the second verse, I couldn't take it anymore and had to turn it. Ahhh....to be in 1988 again.....I wonder what the Color Me Badd guys are doing nowadays. I'm gonna go with shoe salesmen or fast food.
Cardinal Game Part 2
Yes! We were able to get in a game! Granted, it was 37 degrees outside, but still-we got it in. Timbo got into town Saturday afternoon. We just hung out for a bit, went to an early dinner, then headed down to the stadium (Tim had never been to a game either). It was very cold-even in a coat, gloves, hat-you still froze. It was so bad, that Tim was like "I don't care what the score is, we're leaving in the 8th inning". Fine by me. I was in a good mood because my Cubs finally won a game yesterday, so obviously I didn't care who won between the Cards and the Brew Crew (it was the Brew Crew, in case you didn't know). After the game, we decided to rent a movie and just chill. Timbo just left as he has to work this morning back in Salem. Yuck. It was fun though, love quality time with my baby brother!
Happy Birthday to my cousin Jeff's wife Jessica-Jessica turned the big 3-0 yesterday. Painful isn't it? I'm sure it may have been uncomfortable for her given she is eight months pregnant! Jessica and Jeff-LOVE the new pics of the baby on the fam blog. He/she is adorable already! Can't wait to meet him/her!

Are we at a football game?
I swear, that's what it felt like last night as we went to the Cardinals game bundled up in our winter coats, with gloves, scarves and blankets. That's not baseball weather! Clearly, as the game was eventually rained out. That didn't stop us from having fun however! It was my first trip to the new Busch Stadium, and I must say, it was very nice. Love the view of The Arch from inside the stadium. You'll be jealous-Red and I got in on the hottest thing to hit Cardinals Nation, since, well...Mark Mulder. Yes, that's right, we got to try the BRATZEL. What the hell is that, you may ask? Well, I'll tell you-it is a bratwurst wrapped in a pretzel...it was actually pretty good, tasted kinda cinnamon-esque. Red and I laughed the entire time we were eating it (the $7 beers may have had something to do with that, not to mention the fact that I am also on antibiotics....). After we left the stadium, we went to this great bar that no one knew existed called Jack Patrick's. It was pretty fun. We had a table by the door-GREAT people watching! From the old people racing each other on the street (with no shirt on) to the couple making out across the street-you couldn't beat it!
I was kinda bummed that I didn't actually get to see a game during my first trip to the new stadium-that changed however, when my brother called me last night and asked if I wanted to go to the game with him today-the game was originally a day game but was pushed back due to the weather (and honestly, sitting here at 2pm, not sure if we'll even get it in tonight as it is still raining...), Tim's friend that was going with him couldn't go because of the time change, so, Tim is on his way to St. Louis right now. Hopefully we'll get the game in! If not, guess we'll sit in my apartment and drink beer and Red Diamond tea (yes Timbo-Shop and Save now has the Splenda kind-I got ya a big ol' jug!).
Well, enough of a break, I must get back to cleaning my apartment. The least joyous thing I can think of. Here's hopin the game takes place tonite! Would it be wrong if I drank Miller Lite? I'm not supporting the Brewers-I SWEAR!

Z-pack RULES!
Well, I got a z-pack on the way, I'll be good as new in a couple of days! I love being able to score drugs without the hassle of actually going to the doctors office. Sure, it means diagnosing myself, but I've had enough sinus infections to know the symptoms. I actually haven't had one in awhile, so I guess I was due!
Happy Friday the 13th!

I love Friday the 13th. I always have a good day. Let's hope that luck doesn't change. I mean granted, I have a nasty sinus infection right now and my Cubs are in last place, but still.....
Ok, I haven't even been at work for an hour and I already miss my Mikey Poo. What will I do without him? I have come to realize that I depend on him to be my entertainment throughout the day. Maybe I should become less dependent.....
Ok, pretty sure I have a sinus infection. I tried to tell myself it was just allergies-but I don't think it is. I see antibiotics in my future. In fact, I called my doctor, so hopefully I'll have a nice little gift waiting for me at the Shop-n-Save pharmacy....
Yay! I'm going to the Cardinal game tonight with my sis and brother-in-law! Thanks for the invite Red! I'm not sure if it's smart to sit outside in the freezing cold (when there is a chance of snow) when you have a sinus infection, but I'm gonna anyway. Besides, I have never been to the new stadium! They are playing the Brew Crew which means I can go ahead and cheer for the Cardinals (just this once!). I even have a pink Cards hat to show my support.
I did get some sad news today-my friend Sean is moving to Charlotte, NC. Boooo!!! He got a new job there-so while I'm happy for him, I'm sad because I will miss him! At least we have MySpace Sean!!!!
Well, I gotta go blow my nose for the 600th time this morning, so I better go.

I am un-breaking up with Mike
I am rescending my request to break up with Mike Tinnin. He is my favorite again! Mikey-I am so gonna miss you when you are in San Diego. Who the hell is gonna entertain me all day at work? I mean, Amy can try, but those are pretty big shoes to fill.....who is gonna quack at me? And meow at me? Who I ask? Who? That's it-I've decided you can't go. It's that simple.
So, we totally had a book fair at work yesterday-fo real. It reminded me of my grade school days when the Bookmobile would come through. Do y'all remember that? I was always so excited to score the latest Babysitters Club book or the hottest sticker book. Bookmobile rules.
So, driving to work today, minding my own business, I'm in the fast lane going the speed limit-I can't go any faster because it is rush hour traffic. There is this A-HOLE behind me who is riding my bumper and is all kinds of actin' a fool. The funny part? There is a cop two lanes over. Not a smart move acting like an A-HOLE in front of a cop. So, being the a-hole that I am, I got over so this A-HOLE could go on and pass me, sure enough, he did, then swerved around the person in front of him and sped off. What happened next, you may ask? Well, I'll tell you, that cop pulled his ass over immediately. See-it does NOT pay to be an A-HOLE. All I could do was laugh.
The voters finally got it right on American Idol last night sending Haley home. I was soooooo over her from the beginning. Check out her cabaret act on a Carnival cruise ship near you! Phil-it's your turn next week! Maybe if you act quickly, you can get in on the same gig as Haley and have a little duet action going on. Just an idea.
I feel like crap today. I want to blame allergies, hope I'm not actually sick because, quite frankly, I am over being sick. But, I have a sore throat, swollen glands, stuffy nose. Today, Mike is accusing me of attention seeking by coughing. Yesterday it was the sneezing. I confessed today that I am making myself sick on purpose purely to torture him. I am that talented.
So, it's 1:30pm and I am completely done with all my work. Shhhhh.....don't tell my boss.

HEAR YE, HEAR YE!!!!!
I want everyone to know that I am officially breaking up with Michael E. Tinnin. It is SO OVER, my friend! Mr. Tinnin has been mercilessly making fun of me today because I have been sneezing non-stop literally all day. He has accused me of faking and attention seeking. Answer me this, can YOU control a sneeze? Because I sure as hell can't. Let me know the secret. Michael can make it up to me by doing the following:
1. Kissing my ass until I forgive him
2. Blogging tonight so I will be entertained
3. Buying me beer.
Thank you for listening to this very important message. And yes, I do need to lay off the green tea.

3. Buying me beer.
Thank you for listening to this very important message. And yes, I do need to lay off the green tea.
I don't even know what's happening right now
Ok, so why did I wake up with a sore throat this morning? And why have I been sneezing my head off all morning? Why, I ask you, why? I guess I'll blame allergies because I refuse to get sick. I don't have the time for it, there's no room in the planner for "getting sick". So, illness, you'll just have to wait, thank you very much.
In Say It Ain't So New, look at the below picture:
Mike is really hoping this means that both guys will be coming out of the closet soon. I have read, however, that this picture is fake-it was photoshopped. Sorry to burst your bubble Tinnin.
Ok, so I am reading the best book right now. It's called "The Pact" by Jodi Piccoult. It's about two teens that make a suicide pact-only one dies, the other doesn't. Not pleasant subject matter by any means, but it's right up my alley considering what I do for a living. If anyone wants to borrow it, just let me know.
Well, I have to go to a meeting now and I've run out of things to say anyway. Happy Hump Day to everyone!

More of my American Idol ramblings....
Ok, so I missed it last week, but here I am this week, glued to my TV screen. This show is like crack.
KD's take on tonight's performances:
1. Melinda-I agree with Simon. It was kinda blah. Not like she's getting voted off or anything, but still, it was blah.
2. LaKesha-I loved her tonight! And she looked really pretty. She looked like she was having fun out there. I wanna do the conga.....
3. Chris-I am almost totally over Chris. I really think he should just move to Vegas and be a Justin Timberlake impersonator. Really, he'd be great at that.
4. Haley-I am so OVER Haley and her hot pants. You have great legs-we GET IT! You are still gonna end up singing in Branson or on a cruise ship! Deal with it!
5. Phil-It wasn't horrible. It wasn't great either. He'll be in the bottom 3.
6. Jordin-The rhythm got me! The rhythm got me! I found myself tappin' my toes. I think she is my favorite of the girls at this point.
7. Blake-that was HOT! Dude, he was SO the best of the night. LOVE him! Mike, I'm taking him away from you. That little tattooed hottie is MINE! :)
8. Sanjaya-Wow. He was actually kinda good. I doubt he's even in the bottom three. I think this is all part of his master plan. He is gonna start kicking some major ass now and win it all. Ok, maybe not.
Who will be in the bottom 3, you ask (or who should be, anyway)? I'd say Chris, Haley and Phil. I think Haley's time has come. I hear the Carnival cruise ship calling her name. Ahoy!
Happy Birthday Kim

Easter 2007-and the sun was brightly lit
Tim wanted the blog title to be "The Deuteronomy Files" but mom said it wasn't nice to make fun of the Bible....especially on Easter Sunday. So we scratched that idea. So, Easter weekend in Salem was fun. You can see from the above picture that the Easter Bunny made an appearance at chez Davidson. Handsome fella, ain't he? Church was good-I wasn't too sure about the interpretive dance numbers, but other than that, it was good. We saw the most awesomest thing at Wal-Mart-a duded with a mullet with a confederate flag t-shirt (with the sleeves cut off, of course). It was a true sight. Did anyone know that my brother, at the age of 12, became a published poet? It's true. I didn't know this until today, but there it was, his poem entitled "Summer" in some book of poetry. Mom and I laughed until we cried, Tim was embarrassed. The best was he repeated the line "and the sun was brighly lit" about three times. He's a poet and didn't know it!
We watched some movies this weekend, watched a lot of baseball, and just overall relaxed. It was nice to be back home again-I hadn't been there since January! Too bad it was so cold. Ick. The basement looks great-dad finished the family room and I, Kerri M. Davidson, helped with the bathroom. Ok, I didn't do much, but I still helped, my daddy said I did a good job! :)
Hank "posing" with the Easter Bunny
Me and the Easter Bunny...can't figure out how to turn this pic around....
Tim with the Easter Bunny again
Stubby, me and the Easter Bunny
Tim, his Hot Pockets (don't ask) and the Easter Bunny
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY TO MY AUNT PAULA AND MY COUSIN KELLI. Hope you both had a wonderful day. Love ya much!
Happy Easter everyone!

You live for the fight when that's all that you've got
Oh boy! I got to hear "Livin' On A Prayer" this morning on the drive to work. That's a sure way to get your day started on the right foot! Visions of mall hair and acid washed jeans dance in my head now....Man, oh man, oh man, am I tired. So tired, that I woke up at 5:30am because I was afraid I was gonna oversleep. The good news is, I am not working tonight. The bad news? I have to run errands, pack and do laundry all tonight as I am leaving for Salem straight from work tomorrow afternoon. I'd like to say I'm gonna get to bed at a decent time, but I doubt I will.
Sorry to my friend Eric for cutting you off last night. I can't really talk on the phone at work since I gotta take crisis calls, but I do hope you call me tonight! We gotta talk about my trip to Chicago! Speaking of Chicago, my Cubs are on at 11:30 this morning, weird time for a baseball game, but whatever.
I just want to say that I am officially breaking up with Amy Henson for not coming to work today. She sucks. Mikey, you backing me up on this one? Oh and Mike-your blog makes me laugh out loud all the time-you are such a funny boy! I love it.
Ok, I'm gonna go try to do something productive ("try" is the key word here). Happy Thursday everyone!

the craziness can be explained by the full moon....
No Mike-Carnival Cruise ships is calling Hailey's name. Show tunes baby (if they could see me now, out on a fun ship cruise.....)! Yea! Although I'm sure the Baldknobbers, Shoji Tabuchi and Andy Williams would welcome her with open arms down in Branson. Surprised to hear Gina bit it-yea, she wouldn't have won, but if this show is TRULY based on talent, then Hailey, Phil and Shay Shay should have gone before her. Maybe she'll be like Daughtry and end up w/a career anyway. Shay Shay is gonna be on the cover of Tiger Beat magazine (if he isn't already), and Mike is right-can you say "budding homosexual"? I knew you could. Dude, this show has lost it's focus-yet I can't stop watching. It's like crack-laced, or something. Or maybe I've lost my focus as I have put in 20 hours at my part-time job this week and it's only Wednesday (and by 20 hours I actually mean 17-but who's counting?) Sleep please! Next topic.....
So I got told by both jobs this week that I am doing a great job and all that good stuff. Very nice to hear. You like to think you are doing a good job (and I figure, no news is good news), but it is very nice to hear your boss also thinks so (especially when its performance appraisal time...). I do believe the full moon has contributed to the nuttiness this week. It always does. I am glad my four day in a row stint at the crisis line is over (I think many folks thought I had actually moved in since I have been there so much this week. I didn't, by the way). I am exhausted, I won't lie, as I sit here at 10:45pm still awake, knowing I have to get up at 6:30 tomorrow morning....next topic........
My Cubs won tonight, not that anyone cares besides me, but they did. I'm most excited because Aramis Ramirez went 3 for 5 tonight and he is on my fantasy team...so thanks Aramis! After 2 games, the Pirates and the Brewers are in first place. Let them have their glory. It won't last. I'm gonna be nice and won't even rip on the Cardinals........yet. Next topic....
I am so excited to be going home to Salem this weekend. I haven't been there since January, so it is a much needed trip home. I plan to relax, relax, relax. In that order. No more topics. I'm going to bed. Bon nuit!

according to dialidol.com.....
Haley will be voted off tonight. Thanks soooo much to my co-worker Andy for introducing me to dialidol.com, it predicts who will be voted off and is almost always right. We shall see. Well, I won't, since I will be working when it is on tonight.
I'm too tired to write anymore right now. Maybe after my 2nd 16 oz Diet Coke I will perk up. Wish me luck.

I'm at work on American Idol night
What was I thinking, signing up for a shift on American Idol night? Clearly I wasn't. Well, I got to see parts of the show anyway thanks to my co-worker Kimly who had a mini tv with her (we are die hards, ok???). In between crisis calls I was able to get a play-by-play and was able to see the very end where they show a clip of everyone. From what I could tell, looks like everyone had a pretty good night. Even Shay Shay! Again, I think I hear Carnival cruise ships calling Haley's name, and Phil needs to go get ready to perform at the USO's again. One of them is going home tomorrow night, mark my words.
That damn alarm clock
Ok, so the alarm clock went off this morning and my sleepy ass went FLYING out of the bed. It scared the living crap out of me! See, I got a new alarm clock last week and I had not heard what this one sounds like because I almost always wake up before it goes off. Not today. The alarm is the most annoying sound I have ever heard. I had a moment of complete disorientation. I had no idea what day it was, where I was or, quite frankly, who I was. I would have failed the mental status exam for sure-I was soooo not Alert and Oriented x3. I'm a mess.
We are having a Prom King and Queen contest at work. This entails bringing in your old prom pictures for all the world to see. No one wants to see that, first of all. My prom dress was this bright, purple, poofy sleeved monstrosity. And the hair. My god the hair. I mean, I'm sure it was HOT in 1994, but still, I don't think I need to subject my co-workers to that. Do you Salemites remember Stormy's prom dress-the one with the music notes on it? Now that kicked some ass! All I remember is dancing with Jerry Toman to some Celine Dion song. I had a major crush on Jerry Toman, so it was alright with me. Again, people, it was 1994. These things were acceptable back then.
So, it's raining. Half the office is standing at the window to watch. Not sure what that is about, but whatever.
I'm back for Night #3 in a row of working the crisis line tonight. I think I may need the crisis line myself by the end of this 4 day run.....gotta go, my Diet Coke is calling my name.

Not such a good start
Ok, so my Cubs got their asses handed to them on a platter today by the Reds. No biggie. It's not like the Reds should get used to being in first place or anything. I'm over it.
My sister made me laugh out loud today with her tales of purses being thrown in fountains. Ryan Gosling liked it.
I am so over this day, but have to work five hours at the crisis line. Why do I do this to myself? Oh yea....to pay da bills.

Oh yay, I'm so excited!
Yay, Mikey and I both had good boy weekends! Yay for us! Mikey we will NOT be Bridget Jones anymore, DAMMIT!
So, I'm real sad to hear the Cardinals lost yesterday. So much for that undefeated season, huh? Our frequent callers at the crisis line last night kept updating me on the score. Thanks guys. Anyway, my Cubbies play at 1:10pm today. Yes, I will be watching it via the internet. Go boys!
I am heading to Salem this weekend for the first time since January. I can't wait. Some home cookin, spending time w/my parents and punk brother, hanging with the superdogs, Stubby and Hank, what could be better?
My brain isn't fully functioning yet today as it is only 8:47am. I will hopefully have something actually interesting to talk about later............don't hold your breath.
P.S. Thanks to Mike for getting "Don't Stop Believin" by Journey in my head.....

OMG, KD went out last night......with a BOY!
Say it ain't so! Yes, people, it's true, I did. So, Erin and I decided we would do our girls night out thang and go to Tin Can to hang out at the bar (every time we do, we always meet guys-it's a smart move on our parts!). Well, on my way over to Erin's, guess who called me (yes, actually called). Yep-Text Boy. Now, I know, I was ready to write him off, but when he asked if he and his friend Steve could meet up with us, I figured, why not? And I figured it would be good for Erin to meet him because she could size him up for me (and I know she'd be honest). Well, they did meet up with us alright and we had a GREAT time! R (Text Boy) had me drinking some Mexican beer-Tecate-but it was good and he was paying, so I didn't complain. His friend was TOTALLY digging Erin (duh!). R decided he wanted to sing at Gitto's (the boy loves himself some karaoke), so off to Gitto's we went. Now,R did grow up in the OC (not a snob by any means, but makes sense why he drives an Infinity....), but Erin decided she thought he was nice and a good guy-we just have to work on his communication skills if he wants to continue seeing me (which, why wouldn't he? I ROCK!). Things at Gitto's were fun, that is, until R signed me and Erin up to sing some Dixie Chicks....uh...what? I made him sing with us. Karaoke Rick said it sounded pretty good-but I think he was lying. Or drunk. Anyway, we all danced a lot, and laughed and just overall had a good time. R even called me to make sure I got home ok. So, the next challenge will be-will I see him again. It's not like I'm head over heels in love, but he is a nice guy and has potential, so we'll see where it goes! GAME IS BACK ON BABY!
In other fun news, Happy 1st Anniversary to my sister and her husband Jon. Wow-where did that year go? My goodness! Well, you are officially an old married couple now! :) Hope you have a good anniversary.
Well, after sleeping in, I've got a bunch of crap to do around the house, then I have to work at the crisis line this afternoon/night (fun for me). Have a good week, y'all! Happy First Week of the 2007 Baseball Season!

Three of my favorite boys
GO CUBS! Here are Aramis Ramirez (my future husband), Carlos Zambrano (the greatest pitcher you've never known) and Derrek Lee (my other future husband). I love these guys and the Cubs are gonna ROCK this year! I bleed blue baby! Can you tell I'm excited? How will I be able to work on Monday knowing my Cubbies are playing at 1pm? You better damn well believe I'll be watching it online.
Man, I need to lay off the green tea......
Man, I need to lay off the green tea......
Baseball starts tomorrow, baby!
Who else is excited besides me? Baseball officially starts tomorrow and I cannot wait! My Cubbies don't play until Monday (against I believe the Reds), but I am still excited! I love it! My fantasy team is ready to kick some ass (they told me). Bring it!
OMG, you HAVE to go see Blades of Glory. Mike, Erin and I went and saw it today. I laughed my ass off. Seriously, I had tears coming down my face. That Will Ferrell is one funny bastard!

I am out of control, somebody stop me
Kids, don't try this at home. I'm serious. You could get hurt. So, I have had an OUT OF CONTROL friday night, y'all. Check it-I got my hair cut, went to Wal-Mart (to purchase toothpaste, a new alarm clock and People magazine-in no particular order), came back to my apartment and had my jammies on by 8:00. Mikey and I toyed with the idea of going out-I was on the fence about it, neither one of us are rollin' in the dough right now (I HATE non-pay weeks!), so a Bridget Jones Friday Night At Home it is!
Ok, so get this. Text Boy had the nerve (I really wanted to say "balls", but this is a family show) to text me today asking what I was doing tonight. This is after he cancelled our date yesterday because he "was sick" (to be fair, I cancelled our date on Sunday....oops!). So, how did I respond to tonight's message? I told him I had a date. I think that will be the last time I hear from him. I am so completely over it, it isn't even funny.
I feel like Britney Spears with all this out of control behavior. Quick-someone call Promises of Malibu and see if they have a bed for me. Someone needs rehab ASAP.
If you're picking up on any sarcasm that's good....because I'm laying it on pretty darn thick!

This has been yet another crazy rant from a completely insane (but fun) silly girl
inner rage
Has anyone ever been to Manhattan Cafe in Clayton? I went there for dinner last night-loved it! It's like a '50's diner, very cute.
I don't know what is wrong with everyone at work today, but I think we have all gone insane. You can definitely tell it's friday! I'm not doing a whole lot this weekend, just chillin'. I think we are gonna go see the new Will Ferrell movie this weekend-can't wait for that!
The computer here at work is making me angry. It keeps locking up. I must end this post now before the inner rage comes out and I throw my monitor out the window.....

my latest theme song
"Settlin"
By: Sugarland
15 minutes left to throw me together
For mister right now, not mister forever
Don't know why I even try when I know how it ends
Lookin' like another maybe we could be friends
I've been leavin' it up to fate
It's my life so it's mine to make
I ain't settlin' just gettin' by
I've had enough so so for the rest of my life
Tired of shootin' too low so raise the bar high.
So, I'm just not waiting up this time
I ain't settlin' for anything less than everything.
With some good red wine and my brand new shoes
Gonna dance a blue streak around my livin' room
Take a chance on love and try how it feels
With my heart wide open now you know I will
Find what it means to be the girl
Change her mind and change her world
I ain't settlin' just gettin' by
I've had enough so so for the rest of my life
Tired of shootin' too low so raise the bar high.
So, I'm just not waiting up this time
I ain't settlin' for anything less than everything.
that's not what I meant...
Ok, so Erin's supervisor was just in my cubicle, and people heard me yell "don't poke me with that thing".........now, for those of you that are dirty pervs (like me), you probably thought I was talking about something bad-didn't you? I was actually talking about a thumb tack that he was trying to poke me in the arm with. Perverts.
Yay Canada!
Canada has joined MySpace! Woo hoo! Although I was a bit confused when I got the email stating "Darin" wanted to be my friend......Canada, I forget your real name sometimes, I'm sorry! Maybe I should actually call you Darin, but I've called you Canada for over 10 years, so why quit now?
So, Chris S. got booted from American Idol. Can't say I'm surprised. Word to any future Idol contestants: YOU CAN'T DO STING. NO ONE CAN. SO DON'T EVEN TRY. Thank you.
We've almost made it through another week. We are celebrating our Clinical Director's birthday today. He is Mr. Jokester, so we figured we needed to try to get him somehow (this is the man that has a fart machine in his office, and, yes, he does have a PhD). There is an ongoing joke about him and bananas (I have no idea), so today the hallways are lined with bananas and they are all over his office. We also got him his favorite cake-angel food (whatever), and it will be decorated with swedish fish and hot tamales (disgusting? perhaps....). And someone got him a light up yo-yo. I know, we're not right. But we have fun! And we laugh......a lot!
Happy Thursday everyone!

drinks are on me!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, you will never guess how much money I am getting back from the state of Missouri for my tax refund........wait for it..............wait for it............................I, Kerri M. Davidson, am getting back SEVEN DOLLARS!!! Woo hoo! Let's party! I know you're jealous.....
I have no idea why I am so hyperactive today. I've been in a good mood since I woke up. Probably because I am able to sleep again now that my neck isn't hurting. That, and I purchased a new fan for my room. The noise puts me right to sleep-I love it! I do have one rant. And that is-UBH is denying me Diet Coke and I'm having none of it. Our Coke machine has been out of Diet Coke for over a week now, and quite frankly, that is unacceptable. How do they expect me to function and perform at my best if I am caffeine deprived? Today I had to go all the way down to the cafeteria on the first floor to get my much needed caffeine (granted I took the elevator, but still....). I'm writing my congressman......
