Opening Day Baby!

Woo hoo! It's Opening Day in the MLB baby! SOOOOOOOOO excited! Like a good little delusional Cubs fan, I am filled with optimism for the upcoming season. Like the 100 years before this one, I believe THIS IS THE YEAR. Sure, the odds are against them, but Cubs fans have faith. I'm calling a repeat of the 1908 World Series-Cubs vs Tigers. Cubs win. End of story. End of a century-long drought. Let the games begin! :)

Had a very low-key weekend. I did a lot of cleaning, a lot of exercising, a lot of tv watching. It was pretty damn awesome. Oh, and I got to talk to my hottie Canadian on the phone on Saturday, which totally made my weekend. ;)

Thus far today we have re-capped our favorite weekend reality shows (Rock of Love is the BEST trainwreck out there), and I am trying desperately to wake up. Or get some energy. Or both. Case loads are tolerable today, so no complaints there. I AM already ready to go home, however....

lazy Saturday

It's been a fairly uneventful Saturday thus far. I'm pretty much just getting stuff done around the house-laundry was a Must Do item for today and is almost done. Cleaning (which really could be a full-time job for me) has been happening in stages. I got a bit side tracked by the Cubs game and the fact that I am working on a monstrous headache. I did manage to go out and hit some tennis balls for awhile (it's still a bit chilly out, but not bad) but this headache is slowing me down a bit. Plans for tonight? Probably not leaving my house. I'm ok with it though because I looked at my planner today and all of my weekends in April are booked. It's hard being this popular, but someone has to do it! :) Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I gotta get back to the Cubs game now......only two more days till Opening Day! So exciting! :)

Alert

New Nickname Alert:

Frome here on out, Amy Henson will be known as "Titi". My new nickname is "Kiki" (which really isn't new....) and Mike's new nickname is "Mimi". Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

And, no, we did NOT give them to ourselves. It was decided by a consensus amongst our peers (aka, Mike came up with them).

So sayeth The Commish!

So I'm driving home from the crisis line last night and I hear this song by The Jonas Brothers??? What the f**k is this crap? I thought they were just some mythical boy band that only played on The Disney Channel. I had no idea that they actually got real radio air play......bizarre.

Speaking of music, I am totally digging chick music lately. Not typical for me, but lately there has been some good stuff out there. Two of my current faves are "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles and "Say It Again" by Marie Digby (who I first heard on satellite radio, she's now getting more real radio air play....). Check them out if you get the chance. I'm always a sucker for a song that includes the piano (Ben Folds anyone???).

I think I may have hit a new level of insanity last night (hard to believe, I know). And I blame Tanya-she's a bad influence. ;) Seems Tanya and her sister Andrea (a Cubs fan-I LOVE her!) have dreamed up a naked hockey league. Sounds good in theory, right? Well, last night, we decided it should be expanded to cover naked baseball and I, as the baseball lover, will be the Commissioner. Perfect, because I really like to be the boss of things. And coming soon, we are thinking of getting into the naked volleyball market and expanding into Canada (more on that soon, it's gonna involve player recruitment, lengthy interviews and rigorous testing.....). SOME people that shall remain nameless (DJT), seem to think our leagues will not be all that successful because they are for men only. I beg to differ. It's gonna be HOT. SOME people (DJT) have pointed out that men may not wanna play hockey with their boys exposed to sharp skakes and frozen hockey pucks. Know what I have to say to that? WUSSIES!!!! So sayeth The Commish!

Mike Tinnin told me that he hated me today. It has quickly escalated and I asked my boss who her money was on (she said me!). Mike says he'll win because he's a hair puller and a biter. Whatever, I could SO take him. :)

It's quite obvious it's Friday. Everyone is in a good mood. It's baseball day. I am proudly wearing my "real women love The Cubbies" tshirt (suck it Cardinals!). Can't wait for my hotdog today.....

What is up with the staff at Gus' Pretzels? Have you seen them on Jamieson? They are out there all the time, selling pretzels at various stops along the way. That Gus must be a Nazi or something because wouldn't you know, those workers were out at 6:45 this morning, peddling pretzels....it was 36 degrees! I mean, give them a break Gus! Geez! Is anyone really buying pretzels at 6:45am anyway? Couldn't they at least wait until the sun comes up? I'm just sayin'..........

No real big weekend plans, I think Tanya, Allison and I are gonna go out for a drink tonight, nothing major. Tomorrow I have absolutely nothing to do and I'm ok with that. Sunday, my friend Maggie is hosting a Tastefully Simple party-it's great because you get to sample all the products and it's all yummy! Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm gonna go do some actual work right now.....later!

New poll!

New poll y'all! You can thank my friend Tanya for this one......... :)

I'm all done!

Whew, I have been sneezing my little head off today! I know one option I have is to just stop breathing the air, but I'm thinking that may have some negative consequences I'm not prepared to deal with so I must consider other options. If I was a smart girl, I would have long ago taken out stock in the Kleenex company, given that I'm such a high volume consumer of their products. Alas, I am not a smart girl.

In productivity news, I managed to finish every single bit of my work today by 12:52pm CST. Don't tell my boss because she'll try to find something else for me to do. I'm all about keeping a low profile these days, so shhhhhhhh! I learned today that Mike likes cole slaw. Pass it on. That was your random news nugget of the day.

So, Chikize Eze got sent a' packin' last night on American Idol. In my office pool, he was my pick for next week, so it's just as well. On the positive side, he's off just in time to possibly board one of the Princess cruise ships and continue his stage show. Just an idea.

My co-worker Michele (Harry Caray's daughter and closeted Cubs fan) gave me some information today on a Cubs fan club run by Mr. Cub himself, Ernie Banks. Apparently it is a fan club that was originally started (and dismantled) in 1908-the last time the Cubs won the World Series. Mr. Cub apparently thinks there's a connection and is bringing back the fan club (with avengeance!) and seeking members. I joined today. Anything I can do to prompt my boys outta that World Series slump (yes, I'm as superstitious as the next person when it comes to my team!). Tomorrow is baseball day at work. This is really a sick, twisted promotion for Cardinals baseball (the nerve, I mean, you'd think we live in St. Louis or something). You are encouraged to wear your Cardinals gear and, in exchange, will get a hotdog, chips and soda. Fair enough. This girl (and at least three others-POWER TO THE PEOPLE!) will be wearing Cubbie blue tomorrow. That's right, I said it-CUBBIE BLUE. Deal with it. :) Oh, and GO CUBS.

LOVE American Idol!

People, that David Cook is freakin' AWESOME! Must be because he's a CMSU alum (or whatever it's called nowadays). American Idol was my priority last night over Dancing With The Stars (I mean, who was surprised that man-woman Monica Seles and that freakishly tall Penn and Teller guy got the boot? Certainly not me.).

Ok, so here's KD's lowdown on the American Idol Top 10 from last night. It was a mixed bag folks, but overall a pretty good night.

1. Ramiele-she sang "Alone" by Heart. It was cute, kinda boring, Simon liked it, however which surprised me. I have a feeling she may be going home this week, however. Sorry kid.

2. Jason-Robyn, you will be happy to know that I didn't hate him this week. He was cute, charming, and it was his birthday. :) I thought the judges were kinda rough on him. I'd never heard the song and had no idea what he was saying (was it in Spanish?), but it sounded ok. I think he's safe.

3. Syesha-go girl! I thought she was amazing! Didn't know the song, but who cares? She was great, great, great. Definitely the best girl in the bunch.

4. Chikieze-ok, his mom is named Chika? Did anyone else catch that? And is Ryan Seacrest in love with him? I mean seriously. Ok, I know people like Chikieze (like my co-worker Julie Zoell-Patrick), but he is super cheezy folks. I felt like I was watching a Billy Ocean concert and that he was gonna start belting out "suddenly, life has new meaning to me.....". He sang well, but it had a very cruise ship-y feel.

5. Brooke-I know my mom likes her, but I find her quite boring. And no one is really that nice. No one. Her version of "Every Breath You Take" was ok, she sounded good and looked pretty. She'll probably stay.

6. Michael-LOVED it! He really does sing Queen songs well. I just think he's pretty much fantastic and the judges finally liked him this week.

7. Carly-ugh, so OVER her. It sounded like karaoke night at Johnny Gitto's.......

8. David Archuletta-ok, the song was WAY weird, never heard of it, the judges thought so too. However, he is still a great singer, and adorable and way marketable....top two all the way. I loved Paula's comment that he could sing the phone book and we'd all listen. It's kinda true.....

9. Kristy Lee-dammit, I really wanted her to go home this week, but she did pretty well. Granted, she picked the cheeziest of all cheezy songs, "I'm Proud To Be An American" (which Mikey likes to sing in the office periodically). She totally played the patriotic card and it worked for her. Smart girl.

10. David Cook-oh David. Let it be known he has been my favorite from Day 1. He totally KICKED ASS last night, singing Chris Cornell's version of "Billie Jean". Pure genius. It rocked, he sounded great, the judges loved him and Simon called it "amazing". That's big. Wow is all I have to say-I loved it.

So, the person getting the boot this week isn't as clear cut. I'm thinking it will be Ramiele, but Chikieze may be in the bottom two with her. We shall see tonight!

Have I mentioned that I love this show?

Much love for my Mikey Poo

Mikey's been having a rough last couple of weeks.....Mike, just because everyone in Pennsylvania hates you doesn't mean we do!!!! ;) You know I love my special little boo boo! :)

Pictures from the weekend

I didn't take a lot of pictures this weekend, but here are some from Ashlee's shower and from Easter with the fam. Taylor was the star of the show on Easter (I mean, who can resist a cute baby?). :)

I know it's hard to tell, but this was snow....a lot of it. What was weird was that just around the corner, the sun was shining and not a drop coming from the sky.....
look, proof that babies don't scare me! You can, however, tell that I don't feel well.....

Miss Taylor with her mama, Jessica. She loved all her new stuffed animals!
Red's turn to hold the baby...Taylor's showing off her teeth!
our soon-to-be new mommy, Ashlee at her shower
Red holding the super-sized pen. We thought it was hilarious!
Isn't she cute????
Red marked her cup "Tex". Again, we thought it was hilarious! :)

No matter what, I always have fun with my family. We are some goofy, goofy people! If you ever wonder where on Earth I came from, all ya gotta do is attend one Baumgartner family function and the answer will be clear...... ;)

Dude looks like a lady

Ok, I'm starting to get in to Dancing With The Stars. I nearly missed it last night, however, as I fell asleep on the couch somewhere around 6:00pm and woke up to the sounds of the judges critique of Steve "Gutes" Guttenberg's dance (yes, I missed Gutes dancing.....DAMMIT!). This is always my sign that I don't feel well-I sleep-A LOT. I think Michele and I are in agreement-Kristi Yamaguchi should be disqualified. I don't care what she says, skating and dancing are too much alike. And she is GOOD. Really good. That football player guy, Jason Taylor, is really good too. And I'm sorry, but I like Priscilla Presley. Sure, her face doesn't move, but the rest of her does and she seems nice. And isn't that really what it's all about, being nice? (as I called one of my reviewers a "nasty bitch" this morning....not to her face, I made sure the phone was hung up first). I'm thinking that the Penn and Teller guy is going home, as is Monica "I'm really a dude" Seles. And my favorite, American Idol, is on tonight! SO excited for that! It really is the little things in life that make me happy people! Oh and DT, guess what I'm making for dinner tonight? Yep.......PORK CHOPS! Aren't you proud????? :)

I'm gonna try to stay off the cold meds today-I hate trying to function when my head is in a fog. I realize my head is in a fog most days, but it's worse whenever cold medicine is involved.....my whole face still hurts, I'm still a bit congested (got winded on the 2nd flight of stairs at work today-not good), and I'm still sneezing, but the achiness is gone, which I take to be a good sign. That, and really, I don't have time to be sick (who does?).

Monday, March 24, 2008

no more cold medicine?

Uh....so, I just went to put the lid back on my orange hi-lighter and instead of the lid, picked up the lid to my Diet Dr Pepper and tried to put it on my hi-lighter.....uh yea.

Easter/baby shower/fine family fun

I kinda feel like boo-boo today (that's a Mike Tinnin term). Still not sure if it's a cold or allergies (or both), but I've got the sneezing, headache, fatigue, runny nose blahness (yes, that's a word). I can't even blame it on Monday (although I did blame the fact that I couldn't count out 9 days on the calendar earlier on being Monday). My biggest goal for today is to go home and go to bed. It's good to have goals.

Did everyone have a good Easter? Who else got that weird weather? Yesterday, I awoke to giant snow flakes falling from the sky (I also awoke to Grandpa's big mouth, but that's a whole nother story...), later in the day it was sunny, then it snowed again followed by some ice pellets, then it was snowing WITH the sun shining......very odd indeed. I took some pictures to illustrate, but something is not working correctly and I'm not able to get them downloaded (uploaded? whatever). Suffice it to say, it was weird.

Despite not feeling 100%, the weekend was a good one. My sister and brother-in-law Jon were in town from Dallas and my parents and brother were here from Salem. Friday I hung out with my girls Tanya and Allison at several bars (the best of which was the one where the dudes paid for our drinks all night. I am NOT above letting some drunk dude pay for my drinks). We were at OB Clarks and saw a few of the Blues players, the only one I really recognized was Keith Tchakuk. Apparently with him was Marty Ruczinsky and Eric Johnson (who I later found out was having a birthday!). We tried not to be those people that gawked....our whole point in going out was to watch NCAA basketball. Allison drew up some brackets for Tanya and I who basically had no idea what in the hell was going on. Thanks Allison!

Saturday, I was running behind from the get-go (which I hate, I am usually early everywhere I go), I still had to get the gift for Ashlee and Ben, pick up my sister and go to Grandpa's to get my mom. I managed to do all this and only arrive at Grandpa's about 40 minutes late.......let me tell you that driving to Wentzville with my mother is a bit of a treat. God love her, but she doesn't merge well, or handle driving in the city well..... :) We managed to make it safely to Aunt Mary's house. Ashlee is such a cute prego! :) I think the Batto clan wasn't real sure what to do with us Baumgartner women because all we did was laugh hysterically about things that weren't all that funny the entire time......(like poor Aunt Cheryl's narcolepsy). Re-enactment is below:
We hung out at Aunt Mary's for a bit after the shower because the boys (Uncle Ron, my cousin Ben and my brother) decided to kill time by going to Dave and Busters and they wanted to "play one more game" (I kept yelling "stop playing Whack-a-mole and get your butts home....I later learned that they don't have whack-a-mole anymore because PETA or someone like that got mad and said it was cruel....whatever). Once we finally returned to Grandpa's, Mom, Dad, Tim and I went over to Mitch and Bonny's house (Mitch is my dad's friend who recently had brain surgery). Considering he just had surgery 2 weeks ago, Mitch looked pretty good, but still made me very sad because he didn't look like himself. And because of the lung cancer, he no longer has a voice. This is a loud, boistrous man who loved to tell stories and, God love him, despite having no voice, was still doing his best to tell those wild stories (my favorites are of when he and dad lived in Florida and were beach bums for a year...surfing and, according to my dad, "meditating" on the beach.....uh, yea right!). My dad has been friends with him for something like 40 years, it's just sad to see someone you've known your entire life be so sick.

Saturday night was the night of No Sleep. Ugh. So, grandpa's basement was flooded, meaning, going down there to sleep probably not the best idea. So, Tim and I got to camp out in Grandpa's living room. I got the love seat (now, I know I am not a big girl, but still, the love seat was a bit cramped) and Timbo got the floor. I had one of those nights where you were kinda asleep but could still hear everything around you (especially Grandpa's big mouth at 7am asking "are you still sleeping?" Uh no, I'm not). Plus, I wasn't feeling well, so it made for a joyful Easter morning.... :) Church was good, full of the Chri-easter church going crowd, we spent the early part of the afternoon flipping between the Cardinals pre-season game and the Blues game (which they ended up losing, go figure). Dinner was at Aunt Jan's. The food was yummy (thanks so much for my to go package, Aunt Jan!) and the fam was as loud, silly and fun as usual. I got teary eyed when my sister and Jon left (I just miss them so much and hate them living so far away). I don't think it's too much to ask for everyone I love to be near me. Is it??????? :) Anyway, after enduring half my drive home in snow so thick I could barely see (again, I took pictures to illustrate, but can't upload them right now...), I got home, took some tylenol cold medicine, watched Rock of Love (glad that dumb Megan finally got the boot) and went to bed. And slept like a rock.

And now it's morning and the cycle of working all week has begun again. Yahoo.

Soooooooooo sleepy

I am really getting tired of not being able to sleep. All week I've tossed and turned and cursed my alarm when it goes off at 6am. Not sure why I can't sleep lately, I mean sure, work is a bit stressful, but other than that, there really isn't anything on my mind (my mind is almost always blank, as we all know). Guess it's just a phase-a phase I'd really like to be over soon.

Book Club was fun last night. I always laugh with those girls. Christina and I were having our own private conversation about a kerchief and a nightie that had me laughing so hard I thought I was gonna wet my pants. And Sally's baby, little Declan is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. He was waving and blowing kisses at us ladies-quite the ladies man at only 14 months! :)

I was a victim of the floods last night. The Meramec River is apparently gonna crest today, the streets around it are flooded, including Hwy 141 at Hwy 44. Well, I didn't know this, and as I was trying to leave Sally's last night, I saw that the lane to get on to 44 was blocked due to water. Ok, I thought to myself, I'll just turn around and take one of the side streets-bad idea as they were all closed too. Long story short, I had to totally backtrack and take Big Bend all the way home, it took forever and I didn't get home until around 11pm. Ugh.

At least work isn't too terribly horrible today, in fact, for a Friday, it's downright jolly. That's a good thing. I'm meeting Tanya and Allison tonight for some hoops and drinks-can't wait to see them, it's been awhile!

DT-hope you made it to Seattle safely! Have fun being Uncle Darin for the next few days! ;)

Happy Good Friday to everyone. I hope you have a most pleasant Easter weekend. My family will be in town this weekend, very much looking forward to it, can't wait to just sit and laugh with my mom and sister, listen to all the crazy stuff that comes out of my dad and grandpa's mouths, and hang with my little brother and brother-in-law. Plus I get to see all my aunts, uncles and cousins this weekend. They are all some of my favoritest people in the whole wide world (besides DT and my Mikey Poo!). Love you all, may not be blogging much this weekend as I will be at Grandpa's the whole time. Yes, Grandpa is hip and happenin' and does have a computer, however, I may not be on it much.

The end is near

Ok, so I totally got called out by my friend Robyn for trash talkin' Jason Castro on American Idol. I do so apologize my friend! :) I had no idea you felt so strongly about it......speaking of American Idol, while I'm disappointed that that Kristy Lee girl is still on, I was pleasantly surprised to see the rocker nurse go. Buh bye. Next.

I'm in a much better mood today than I've been in all week. Thank God cuz I was truly beginning to annoy myself. I hate being crabby. Maybe it's because I get to see my family in a couple of days, or maybe because I got to chat with my Canadian hottie two nights in a row or maybe it's because this horrendous week is just about over. Either way, I'm better now. :)

So, I have Book Club tonight. Yea, still not actually reading anything, but can't wait to see the girls! I think I am meeting up with Tanya and Allison tomorrow night for some March Madness/beer drinking, then swinging by Chesterfield to pick up my sis on Saturday morning then on to Flo, Mo to get my mama then off to Wentzville for Ashlee's baby shower. Good times, good times!

Sawin' logs sideways

I suddenly remember why I don't like this time of year. Because it is frickin' DARK when I get up for work now. That is SO not fun. How can one be expected to get up when it's still looks like it's night time? Not to mention that it has been raining pretty much non-stop for the last three days now. Over it. Oh and I've also been unable to sleep the last three nights in a row and AGAIN have a headache today (and no DT, it's not because I was up past my bedtime.....). :) Ok, now I'm over it.

So, last night was a challenge. You know, balancing my THREE favorite shows....sometimes at the same time. It was tough, but I'm a professional, and I was able to do it, only missing one of the dancers on Dancing With The Stars and one of the singers on American Idol (but I caught the end of it, don't think it was much to write home about anyway), oh, and the very end of Big Brother.

I guess the crabbiness that has been ravaging my office has spread to Simon on American Idol. He was a nasty biatch last night! Don't you be mean to my David Cook now! He's a Fighting Mule and he'll kick your ass!!! :) I gotta tell ya, the girls on this show bore me. I definitely think the boys are better this year. It was Beatles night again, which I love because I love the Beatles. I don't think the singers really dig them, however. Here's the low down:

1. Amanda-SO over her. We get it, you sound like Janis Joplin only not as good. Next.
2. Kristy Lee-ok folks, I think she did ok, but let's face it, she's only still on the show because she's pretty. Am I right? She picked "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" because she "liked the title"? What? You're an idiot, please stop talking. Next.
3. David A-hello AWESOME! He was great, great, great! I heard he forgot his words last week, so glad to see he was back in fighting form this week. Love this kid.
4. Michael-ok, the judges were hatin' on him but I think he was pretty good. The arrangement was kinda weird though, didn't really flow. Still love him.
5. Brooke-one word: snoozefest
6. David C-LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE him. No, really, I do. Simon was hatin on him, but I thought his version of "Day Tripper" kicked ass!
7. Carly-she sang well, even if it was a bit boring. Her husband scares me.
8. Jason-ok, I don't get it. Someone tell me why he's still on the show? He took one of the most beautiful Beatles songs, "Michele" (and I say that not just because that song is how I got my middle name), and did something way weird with it. I wasn't sure what was happening. Needless to say, I didn't like it.
9. Syesha-loved her version of "Yesterday". Almost brought a tear to my eye, it was that good.
10. Chikiezi-missed most of his due to channel flipping, but caught the end and all I can say is-what the hell? Was this square dancing/two step night and no one told me? Ick.
11. Ramiele-she was pretty good, plenty boring though. She's cute so she'll probably stick around.

My hunch is that Kristy Lee will be going home-or at least she should be. The David's and Syesha were the best of the night.

Now on to Dancing With The Stars, where we use the word "stars" loosely. It was the ladies night to dance and it was, interesting, I guess. That Kristi Yamaguchi is GOOD! She's the gal to beat, I'm thinking. Know who ISN'T good? That Monica Seles-I mean, could she look any more like a dude? Yikes. The chick from Hairspray is WAY too peppy-take it down a notch girlfriend. I actually ended up liking Priscilla Presley although it is scary how her face doesn't move.....I'm a' thinkin' she OD'ed on the botox....she seems nice though and she did a great job for an old lady. Who was amazing? The deaf chick, Marlee Matlin. She was great-it's amazing how she can learn the dances so well and can't even hear the music. I missed Shannon Elizabeth, but I hear she was fairly good. Can I just say WTF to the special musical guests next week? The Jonas Brothers? What? Aren't they like Disney Channel stars? What the????

Please dear God let today be better than yesterday. Considering it's not even 9am and I've already threatened to stab myself in the eye with my pen, I'm not having high hopes...... :)

P.S. Thanks for making me laugh last night, DT. You're the best. ;)

The rest of the Arizona pix

Woo hoo! We actually went out! Here's Erin and I out on the town. Watch out Tempe!!!
Cubs relief pitcher, Carlos Marmol. LOVE him!
the rest of the lawn bums....Arizona's version of Wrigley's bleacher bums! Lawn tickets are only $6 y'all!
Erin and myself.....aren't we cute?
again with the cuteness......
this is Ronnie "Woo Woo". If you've ever been to Wrigley, you've probably seen him outside, yelling "Cubs woo Cubs woo!". He's a bit of a mini-celebrity in the Cubs World....

Jason Marquis who, much to my surprise, actually pitched well on Thursday......
Cubs first baseman, Derrick Lee
short stop, Ryan Theriot
2nd baseman, Mark DeRosa
the billboard announcing my favorite player, Aramiz Ramierez, was up to bat. LOVE HIM!
looks like we were heading in the right direction!
we believe this is Chief HoHoKam.....

former Cubbies star, Greg Maddux. Even though he is on the Padres now, Cubs fans still love him and he got huge round of applause and cheers when they announced his name.
Cubs left fielder, Alfonso Soriano

sometimes right fielder, Matt Murton-I don't think he'll be a starter, but will definitely be an off the bench player
I took this pic to show just how close we came to catching a homerun ball...it bounced about five feet in front of Erin and I...of course, we were ducking to get out of the way. Don't wanna get hit with no baseball!
Matt Murton and our new fave, Sam Fuld
Cubs starter Ted Lilly-he's one of my favorites and I'm hoping he'll have a great season, unlike his crappy performance in the playoffs last year.....

Sam Fuld...new fave! I don't think he'll be the starting center fielder, that job will be going to Felix Pie, however, count on him to make the team and hopefully be awesome!
Erin and I in front of our "hot" car!

Ya gotta vote for him!

Seriously, y'all gotta vote for David Cook on American Idol.....check out this article, he went to my alma mater, CMSU (Go Mules!) and is from Blue Springs, Mo. I just want it noted that I have loved him from the beginning........ :)

Arizona pix-batch #1

Here is batch #1. The rest will come tomorrow as my camera batteries have died and I don't have my charger with me. Ah, bathing beauties, eh? This is me and Erin lounging out by the pool at her aunt and uncle's house....heaven, I tell you!
Hey DT-seen one of these before? It was our special Canadian treat on Sunday morning...nothing like chocolate and wafers to start your day off right!
THIS is the Caddie that was parked in M10-the car we were afraid we were stuck with. We weren't.sorry, but I took lots of scenery pix-it's just so beautiful there, I love it. This is a pic at Sabino Canyon near Tuscon.me standing outside a damn in Sabino Canyon
the rock formation here looks like a mask
lots o' water-they actually had some flooding which is quite unusual for the arealook, a Cardinal! Think he was there spying on the Cubs? HA!
my favorite picuture....love all the cacti!
